Ah nice!

I know. I know that Oddysey Q seems to be very much the one everyone wants. Obviously, you have had a lot of exp with viewfinders and ext monitors. Do you think that is a game changer? I have a terrible time seeing what I am shooting. I bought a hoodman and it is terrible. I want an ext monitor and the combo recorder monitor seems great in theory.... The SD Pix apeals even more bc of the audio. Quite overwhelming.

I am a LCD screen/monitor person myself and backwards it seems according to the so many others here who seem to prefer a viewfinder. I have the Sony OLED viewfinder and 99% of the time shoot with a 7" LCD mounted on top of the handle of my camera instead. I guess when you push a camera on a dolly, pan/tilt, and pull focus all on your own on those "one-man" gigs you learn to love an LCD screen/monitor, not a viewfinder. But kidding aside (actually I'm not kidding) I also do a lot of crane work with my camera moves so again a VF just doesn't work for me for that shooting style. Maybe if I tape one to my head and run a long video cable...

The Odyssey is a bit exciting and I might trade up to one for the benefit of having an OLED 7" screen that is brighter and offers so many other options. Also with the F55 it will give me some 4k recording options as well so I might be able to avoid the eventual purchase of the AXS-R5 Sony RAW recorder and just use the Odyssey. Put the money I save towards more lights. :)

Ok another idea: given you are shooting more run and gun / ENG style you actually might want to consider shooting with a B4 2/3" lens and adapter for the F3/F5/F55. It can give you a nice motorized zoom plus make focusing a bit easier to manage and hence less strain on your eyes, etc.. since it would have a more narrow depth of field compared to the full super 35mm sensor size but still give you some DOF. Maybe even consider that AF100 as an option since the 4/3rds format and B4 2/3" lens is also a nice combination.
