Making stock footage of sparks

I want to make some stock footage of sparking squibs. Ive looked at Artbeats and other stock footage and didnt see what I wanted.

I thought I'd ask for advice on camera settings and set up before I waste alot of squibs try to get it right. I was planning on using a black screen in the background and no lights so the camera will pick up the sparks pretty good.

Has anyone done this before?

Perhaps talk to the guys at Video Copilot for their capturing techniques?

I just use Particle Illusion. works so much better then stock footage.
