So,

This 7" HD Touchscreen is only $300:

For comparison, a Marshall 7" HD LCD display with the same resolution (800x480) retails for $1599.

Combined with a Mac Mini this would allow uncompressed recording from a DVX100a.
Hmmmmm.......

dam that mac mini sure is small. still waiting on the pc mini , thats an awesome deal for an "hd" lcd ... and its touchscreen.. there's gotta be a catch somewhere.... $300 vs $1599

Thanks Brian, the mind boggles... That could be very, very useful. Good call.

Can you expound on how you would record the uncompressed signal. Can you get an uncompressed card into a Mac Mini?

thats such a great idea......as someone who has been routinely anti-mac I'm being slowly turned around.....
