Main zoom rocker sticky

Has anyone had their main on-camera zoom rocker become a little sticky? When using the rocker to zoom-out you can feel & hear each step. Zoom-in is normal & smooth.

It developed this problem after shooting in cold & windy conditions.

What experience have you had with Panasonic repair turnaround time?

Are you sure the Panasonic will take responsibility for this deficiency? They don't seem to admit to the sticky focus ring issue in cold weather.
 
Thankfully, it has somehow returned to normal for now. But I can certainly see trouble in the future. It was not usable due to the loud clicks and amount of force required, when I first posted the problem. Now after sitting a few days, it seems normal.

It did teach me that there are 4 little stepped contacts in the zoom switch, and as the zoom rocker hits each point in travel the zoom speeds up.
