Ok,while I was getting out my tripod it slipped like six inches and landed on the nob that tightens the sliding plate. The nob broke. (I know I know, be more careful...I've been kicking myself over this already...I'm just happy I wasn't clumsy with the DVX). So I ran to ace hardware and bought a machine screw that fit the exact size of the screw in the nob. It works for now while I'm trying to track down how to buy a new nob from bogen. But my question is, this screw won't mess with the magnetics of the camera or anything will it? I'm probably being overly paranoid, but the thought occured to me and I just wanted to make sure that this wouldn't affect the camera sitting just above the new screw. Any info is greeeeatly appreciated. Thank you.
