Magiqcam Series II w/ Case and Magiqdog

I'm thinking about selling my Magiqcam Series II with it's case and low mode. It's really a hard decision, but there's something else I want to buy right now. I only used it once to balance it and walk around the house.

I figured I'd give people here at DVX user a chance to get it before I stick it on Ebay. So, I'll wait a week or two and see if any of you want to buy it. Everything is in brand new condition.

Here's what's for sale:

Magiqcam Series II complete package: $2100
Magiqdog: $200
Magiqcam case: $100

I'll sell the whole thing and ship it for $2450 including insurance.

"Hell, that's what they sell for at the Magiqcam website, why would I want to buy yours?"

If you buy it off of me, I can have it to you in about three business days. If you order it from Anamagique, you'll be waiting at least 8 weeks. They say 4 weeks on the website, but everyone that I've talked to at DVInfo had to wait at least 8 weeks and sometimes longer.

I only take PayPal and I'll ship it UPS by the next business day after I get payment.

So your selling it for $50 more than Magiqam is?

Have you tried to get your money back from Animagique? They do have a money back guarantee. Have you tried to contact them?
Do you have the new version of the gimbal? How long have you had the rig?

I've only had it for about a week or two. I don't know which gimbal is which, but I just got mine. I have no complaints, so I really don't see how I could return it.

I don't NEED to sell it. I actually like it and want it, but there's something that I want slightly more right now. I'm constantly changing my mind about my equiptment and selling stuff and buying other stuff.

Who badmouthed Amimagique? When I said they take 8 weeks to ship, that means that it's just a fact... that's not an insult, that's just the way it is.

i love mine too. ..the shipping does take forever.


edit: tony the new gimbal is black has a straight  grip portion with a little bend and another short straight part at the end on the handle. the old gimbal handle is curved smoothly and the gimbal is silver

I love mine also. It just seems that you were badmouthing then to make a sale. I got mine in 4 weeks and it did seem like a long time. I feel it was well worth it. But you have to take into consideration that John isn't just sitting on his butt for 4-5 weeks. He has a least 20 orders in house at all time and these things are hand crafted. Not out of a assembly line. This was one of the selling points for me. I don't know about you guys. I like to the attention to detail and the fact that I know each one was personally inspected by John when it left. ( I have become friends with him since my purchase) He is only one guy.
I give the guy kudos for what he has done in the last 4 years.
Just my 2 cents.

He didnt badmouth the company. He merely stated that an incentive to charge the same amount would be to get it in 3 days and not have to wait over a month.

You know Dave, I think you are affiliated with Animagique. You've made 11 posts since February and all but one are to suggest a Magiqcam or defend Magiqcam or some other Magiqcam promotion. You've called yourself both Joe and Jay.

The only post you've made that wasn't about a Magiqcam was about getting shaped foam. Someone from Animagique would know where to get shaped foam because they have to order it for their Magiqcam cases.

Oh and you're also the only person I know of that received their Magiqcam in 4 weeks... what a coincidence. Plus, you seem to know everything about John because you're "friends".

That's just kinda creepy. Rest assured, nobody is bashing your product. I'm not even complaining about the 8 weeks it takes to get it. I just stated that I could deliver my Magiqcam WAY faster than they could get it from Animagique.

This sale may be off the table soon because I'm looking at another product that wouldn't necessitate the selling of my stabilizer.

Based on the above description, do you have the new gimbal? I've been seriously looking at these, and I'm leaning toward yours. I like the fact that I can get it from you in 3 days. I'm nervous about Paypal, though. Any other possible payment options?

Ok, I found a picture at DVInfo and I've got the old style gimbal. Are there any advantages to the new gimbal? The only advantage I see to this new gimbal is that it's thicker and more heavy duty looking. I doubt that it actually works any better because the design is the same.

Nervous about PayPal? PayPal is as good as it gets for sending money over the internet. If you get scammed, you just call PayPal and file a claim. If you get scammed while using a check or a money order, you have to take them to court.

As I said I have become a friend of the owner. I am not affiliated with them. I know what its like to start a small company and its hard to get a fair shake sometimes.
Just because I know where to get foam does not mean that I part of Animagique.

The only reason I'm nervous about Paypal is because I'd need to register my bank account with them to get my limit raised to your asking price. I know of several people who had their checking accounts randomly frozen (Paypal mistake), and suddenly couldn't access their money for weeks. Paypal is involved in a huge class-action lawsuit for this very reason (and others). Just makes me a little nervous. I certainly mean no offense by this.

I've used them before for small credit purchases, though. They were good in this instance. :)

No offense taken. I just regard PayPal as the safest way to buy and sell stuff online.

This item isn't for sale anymore. I was thinking about getting an XL2 because I just couldn't find a good deal on an XL1s and the one that I won on Ebay turned out to be a scam or something (got my money back). Anyway, I finally got an XL1s body barely used for 1600, I got a lens, I got a 16:9 LCD monitor and a 7 hour power supply for the monitor, so my rig is ready to ****ing rock and I'm really stoked about it. Thanks for not buying my Magiqcam everyone :)
