Magic Lantern & the Canon 5D Mark II

Has anyone used the Magic Lantern Firmware in their Canon 5D Mark II, and if so, how do you like it ?

Has it definitely improved the video and audio quality from the firmware Canon offers ?

Thanks.

Video quality hasn't changed, unless you count the addition of zebra stripes aiding in better judging of exposure (and therefore better exposed footage...). Audio is improved with the removal of AGC and ability to control levels manually.

Can you monitor the headphones with 2.0.4 and the latest Magic Lantern release? Is anybody doing this? I know ML says that they are still in beta to support 2.0.4. (could be wrong about this, though).

I used it a lot before 2.0.4.
mainly to disable the AGC and use the audio meters which are the best indication that audio is coming in, i don't trust that MINI plug input ,we still always recored to a 788 at the same time
but it always great to have a synced audio track as well.
ML is brilliant and Hudson did an amazing job.
i'm still waiting for the new one that will maybe give us 1080 while recording without that stupid focus Box, i want to try recording the 5D right into a Nano flash

I downloaded the alpha 0.1.8 and you can monitor with headphones. Can't brick your camera as it's loaded in ram and you have to load it every boot up. If it locks up ever though pull your battery cause it can overheat.
