Magic Lantern focus peaking

Hi all,

i want to install Magic lantern on my 5d mark iii just for focus peaking.

can you suggest which stable magic lantern version should i install? also is it possible to revert back / uninstall magic lantern and start using the factory settings? i am not very keen on raw as it's beyond my reach to shoot and edit in raw.

and finally how accurate is magic lantern's focus peaking? currently i magnify the shot i want to take and adjust focus, which is sometimes very time consuming. will magic lantern focus peaking free me from magnifying and manually adjusting the focus?

i would really be thankful if you could help me out.

thanks in advance,

Payal

Once you install ML you currently cant remove the bootflag on the 5D mkIII. Unlike other models. The main side effect is that when using this cam for stills the wake up stime from sleep is 1-2 seconds. If you are aware of this and accept the fact that there is no current way to remove it from the mkIII then, I'd say this about peaking on ML; the old peaking method was not so accurate as compared to the newer digic peaking which is faster and less obtrusive looking. Its quite accurate and I use the digic peaking on my mkII and 7D all the time. It should be the same in behavior on the mkIII.
