Well, except for the exceptionally high date rates going out through the CF card slot.
SO what now the CF card is gonna spontaneously combust?

Thats not to say that there will not be any overheating issues with RAW recording on a canon and there is a chance of permanently damaging your DIGIC processor, Its just you are not going to wear out your components "within the chain"
I do electronic repair so I do have quite a bit of experience with this. The only thing that comes close to the issues that you are talking about are power amplifiers.
Lets consider what we do know: Cards generate heat. Digic generates heat encoding H.264. Theoretically it will all just even out. ML have been very weary of heat for ages, there's even a digic temp gauge in ML. They know what they're doing.
That post is bs (devs agree). The constant raw has always been running on the Canon firmware, it's a liveview feed, ML just tapped the feed and without H.264 encoding it should actually run cooler!
Seriously you guys sound like a bunch of old women.
So there's no way at all that the components dealing with the CF card communication could get any warmer or overheat? Not just the DIGIC, but the CF hardware on camera side? I thought so, but of course I am definitely not doing that kind of work for a living so someone with more experience ought to chime in.

Unless you engineer cameras for a living, then you cannot say for certain that your camera will be okay.
They can get hot but not so hot that you will see the solder melt or damage the components. The camera would lock up way before anything like that would happen and thats if canons thermal protection didn't shut down the camera first.
Well it is a DSLR so sure heat is an issue but swapping 2 bodies around fixes that problem.
Komp bay card has been dropping frames, so has transcend, they're a bit too slow for 1080p, but they work on todays build up to 900 I think.
I've been screwing around all morning try to creat a canon standard sLUT for adobe camera raw... still haven't nailed it.
lexar is solid, I got a Toshiba 1066x coming.
I was reporting it. I did not SAY it. That was uncalled for.
So, lexar's at 250-300 a shot to start, and likely no less until you or someone else figures out the Toshiba thing.
At least as of right now.

Looks awesome Sir! That FULL FRAME raw beauty. Great tones and this hack made the MK3 a very powerful tool.
