magic lantern -- adding letterbox to top of frame?

hi all,

i've installed Magic Lantern to 5D mark III.

it looks like it's adding a letterbox to the top of my frame...not sure if this is an ML issue or something going on with my monitor (ikan D5).
does anybody know how to remove it, so i can see full frame in monitor? please see before after picts. below.

-Disable cropmarks from liveview menu

if still there

-Go to Display meny -> advanced -> play with 16:9/4:3 settings see of one of fixes the issue

if still there

-Disable Global draw entirely (I ddo it when using an external monitor to avoid issues)

if you don't want to

-download a new ML build

what a strange quirk, never seen that bar. So does it appear on the camera's internal LCD also or just the HDMI output?

good question...i just checked and it only appears on HDMI output.

does that lead to any ideas?

That makes it even more strange!

To make sure it's not an issue with the monitor, can you plug the camera to any other monitor and see if it exists? You TV for example (any screen with an HDMI input)

It doesn't look like a monitor problem though, after trying another monitor and maling sure it's not it, I would go ahead and install a different ML build. (even one of the old Nightly builds which work great)
