I loved that! Really great idea, it brought to mind the invisible board sequence in the girl skate vid "yeah right". I especially liked the hippie jump and when the one rider makes the ring for the other to jump through. I also liked the footage that went blue and a little darker, it was a cool look and it really added to the light trail effect. Great job man!
 
i come in here every once in a while to check out some stuff even though i shoot dvx. i am glad i came. cool idea and great execution. i agree with brokenscience about the hippiejump and ring, i loved those parts.

Well done! The tune fits well with the piece.
Was it time comsuming to do the effects in post?
 
Yep, it definitely took a while, but I used Trapcode Particular plugin for After Effects combined with Andrew Kramer's excellent tutorial about creating light streaks.

The difficulty really came in the amount of render time and in getting down the right look and physics for the effect. Also, I had to figure out a way to get the particles to move with the camera motion. That was definitely the hardest part. Whenever the camera moves at all it creates a real challenge...
 
Man, that was sweet. It definitely stands apart from all the other snowboard/skateboard videos. Nice editing, FX, and nice song.

The vending machine was real, but it was shot indoors and composited in later. I added the reflection to help convince people. :)
 
really nice. watchable, with a lot of re-watch value. need more of that around here. fits well with the music as well...
