magic bullet

hmmm...

hmmm...

It's good...not great though. Magic Bullet is a powerful tool. If you know what your doing with all the necessary assets, then you can do endless amount of color correction / color grading. I'm really not a big fan of users that use the presents. Learn on your own of what every tool does. Color Correction can be a great advantage to high production value. It takes years to master it.

A cool thing to do is, go ahead on location and shoot some raw footage and important into MB Looks, and try to create a custom filter of your own for that particular scene or whatnot.

What I mean is: well, let's take your screen test that you did. What I would do is go into the woods and shoot raw footage. Just for the hell of it. Then on that location bring your lab-top. Bring it into FCP or whatever Editing program that you use. Then import the footage into MB Looks. Now correct your image with certain filters and film stock. Play around. Try to act like your MB Look is your film stock. Then once you have what you want, then go ahead and shoot your short film. This will help you save time in post. I've done this with my cinematographer before principal photography. Hope that help.

Enjoy and best of luck.

Cheers,

Murray
