Magic Bullet Question

Is there a place to go for guides to Magic Bullet in AE for different cine looks?
I can trial and error it...but is there a place that say has a "cookbook" of recipes...
saturation to 8%, gamma to -0.6% and voila Kodak 7625 processed at X?
I'm probably asking for DP/Cinematographers/Film Developers Holy Grail/Family Jewels/Ark of the Covenant/Shroud of Turin type secrets, but hey, there are no stupid questions, just stupidity without the information!

Re: Magic Bullet Question

i don't think there is.

when my magic bullet came the cd was cracked, i was able to use the serial number from the cd case and get the demo to run in full paid mode but i assumed i was missing out on samples of the effects on the cd.

i got the replacement cd and was really surprised that there was no guide.

i think they really need to put out a pdf explaining the effects and maybe suggestions on what variables to change to tweak the look.

i have to go back to check out there site, it seems like they should have already gotten this question so maybe they have the demo's on their site and i missed it?

i have a LOT of spare time coming up in the next 2 or 3 weeks so i'll see if i can shoot some generic footage and run a couple minutes of footage through each effect with the default settings and put it up on the web.

btw, barry did a nice thing on his dvd with (i think it was 5) magic bullet effects and even showed how to come VERY close to replicating it with in camera settings.

Re: Magic Bullet Question

Where can you go to get an actual clip of each type of film/technicolor/process so that I can take that clip and "tweak" the settings until I have the "recipe"?
We do that when reverse engineering foods. Start with an actual sample, taste, then using what you know, begin to make it from scratch/the beginning.
