Hello

I am so glad that i finally buying my 1st monitor for my AF101! And now i am trying to find a good but not too expansive magic arm or something else to put on my monitor

I would like to hear your advices! Plz feel free to post info/pics about THE BEST and probably most expansive units, as well as info about cheaper ones...

as i understood there are different modifications: some to attach to cold/hot shoes, some to threaded holes some, and some to attach to rails.
what is best way to use? are there any units that can be attached by using all 3 methods?

regards

The arms from COOLLCD are excellent and cheap. Been using mine for a year or so with no problems! $32 and you get a free rod clamp for it as well.

I have a bunch of Coollcd-like arms and they are all good. You have to tighten the screw without rubber grip pretty hard (depending on what you screw it into) but having them screwed directly into the top-handle works great. I also use them for my small iLed312 LED-panels. I think I have four of them...

Noga screwed in to one of the 1/4" holes. Expensive but worth every penny, one good turn on the handle and its locked down rock solid.

I prefer the arms with a lever-type handle, instead of a the round-type, as they're much easier to lock down firmly.

I also recommend 16x9's Cine Locks as they're fast to set up, & cut down the wear-n-tear.

thank you all guys for your comments! 16x9's Cine Locks - seems to be useful , but personally i think its a little expansive! seems liek the easiest will be COOLLCD, but if u know about some other unusual models - plz post them here....

i know now what you ment when told us about CineLock “Wedgie” , instead of screwing each time the monitor on your cam, and leaving marks there and there, and loosing time doing it, u just put it on and thats it. i would realy love to buy it and not the 1 unit but 2-3, but for me its seems like a lot of money -100$ for that small item, after all + shipping , custom fee + tax.

i wonder if any of you know something similar to that product, maybe a little cheaper?
