I don't have a hardware scope and software scopes (at least mine) don't display a color burst so I don't have way to check this but: I've noticed, with default color phase, that skin tones are a touch on the magenta side. I can adjust to a minus number (3, 4, whatever) and they come into line. In the ASC article the author had to do the same thing. Do you think this is a camera by camera or across the board thing with the DVX on color phase?

It's a DVX thing. Everyone has noticed a shift toward the magenta/red.
You'll probably notice that your oranges are redder than they should be.
