Made a Mistake.

Need some advise on the best way to fix something.
Im kind of mad at myself because I never really make this mistake but I
shot a speaker and she's was wearing some white clothing real white, which concerned
me from the beggining. So some of her speaking the white is real bright.
Yes I shot in manuel Iris and put it down, but didnt want her face to be too dark.

anyway what's the best way if any to fix some of the problem?

If you are speaking of clipping in the whites, there isn't much you can do besides take it down with some color correction. When the whites clip, that means there is no information there and so there is nothing there that can be changed. If you have After Effects or Color you should be able to make a mask around the speaker's face and bring everything down but her face.

Thanks. Im still learning the final cut express. Right now I have the Final Cut 4 Express.
The only thing I need to do is find where I Do the, setting the box around the video I need to
make the color correction. Any Idea.

I don't need the whole clip corrected, just her shirt part, Lowering the White Color of her shirt.
Any clue on that guys thanks.
 
just color correct the clip first.
after you get good exposure on her shirt, her face should be dark so mask it to her shirt size. (only the color corrected layer)
I haven't done it for a while but I think there was like a "Top" "Bottom" "Left" "Right" adjust bar in one of the viewfinder window so find that.
then after you adjust it to her shirt size, then "Feather" out the edges so it gives a more pleasing looks.
do you get it?

I'm sure there's better ways to do it but that's one of the easiest ways to do it.

Does final cut express have the "change to color" feature? You could try that and just replace the overblown white with normal white or light grey...
 
Final Cut Express does have color correction.
The one thing I really need to know is where is the masking feature, so I can correct her face, one I bring down the white color, because her face will be dark.

How do I get the box around her face and than pull it up, or the box around her shirt and bring it's color down.

when you put Text over a clip, you change the position where you want it right?
and when you change the position what do you use? I think you can just use the same method.
so just like you would put a Text over the clip, put the color corrected layer over her shirt.
 
I see the center anchor function, but how do you mark the part that's white, like the shirt,
Sorry to be such a pain, but I may need a step by step how to because I see the center function, but how does it work to set a box around the part that needs adjusted?
