Macro-cosm, 4K Macro Fun

Shot some macro shots with the Odyssey 7Q 4K RAW option. I LOVE how you can crop and move the 4K around, which gives you so much freedom when finishing in HD and the ability to do “Super Macro!” Just shot random stuff around the house, yard and of course my ugly, yet super lovable dog who is in all my camera tests. Even busted out my old Eumig Super 8mm projector and some old film shot on my trusty Beaulieu Super 8. Also bought some we slimy goo from the 99 Cent store for some crazy slimy fun.

The 7Q RAW image is simply astounding - great dynamic range, no moire or alias at all and just super clean.

1) Canon 100mm L f2.8 IS Macro
2) Transcoded in Resolve, edited in Premiere and graded in After Effect
3) 4K to HD finish

Fantastic work Gene, although it's disappointing the video ended so soon! Really lovely stuff.
 
really nice work gene! did you "punch in" in post or did you stick with what you shot in camera?
 
Thanks for peeping. @ Epsom, yes I did punch in 4K. Lots of punching in and reframing since it was an HD finish. I actually found that you can scale the 4K to about 125% and still holds up decently, so you can get a even a slightly larger image.

@ Kyron. We do have a new camera, and it's great!
