Macbook Pro in trouble?

I'm telling you, I don't think I use the same FCP as everyone else. The one I use is not easy, intuitive, or fast. To coin a phrase off this message board, "doing things in FCP can be like driving around the block to get into your refrigerator."

This laptop seems to kill. If it wasn't to gosh darn expensive I'd be all over it.

What editor did you use before?

I'm probably going to get a new mbp pretty soon. I'm still running my great 4 year old dual 1.8gb G5, which still runs great for everything. (even though i heard color and motion run slow on it, both which i don't use)
It's just that time to get a laptop.
Almost all the new features on leopard are pretty damn good, great for pros and regular people alike. Time Machine? Great easy way to back up for pros and especially for regular people. And the new screensharing option? Someone was telling me it is so handy and incredibly easy to do, no setting up, great for pros and regular people alike.

I'm think i'm gonna be trading in my Vista PC laptop in too for a macbook, pretty soon as well. Vista makes that pc laptop run incredibly slow and bad, real bad.
 
and you can run vista fast, real fast if you need to on the MBP, simple and easy. no need to be a geek to set anything up to run any OS on it.

Ya I heard that too, but I have no need to run any kind of Windows. But it's nice to have the option though.
I don't play computer games either. (consoles ftw!)
 
I have a macbook Pro 2.1 ghz 1gb of ram and a PowerMac Tower 1.8 with 1.5 gbs of ram, nothing to flashy, but damn can that thing edit ;) i perfer my tower (prob cus ive got a 30 and 19 inch screen on it) but i still thiknk its faster than my macbook pro. and coming from a geek turned filmaker, i love all my macs =)
P.S. it all started on windows for me, using acid (sony, not guy on the corner) but than i decided upgrade =) Never looked back
