You realize it's pointless to get a new MBP for use with FCP 7, right? It's an outdated 32-bit program, so it won't be able to take advantage of any of the extra RAM or processing power of the newer i7 architecture. Go FCP X or Premiere.

I probably wont get new, ill probably get a refurbished 2012 or something similar. and I will have premiere and after effects installed. I have only used FCPX a few days and it was on a 2012 MBP that could not handle it at all and I did not like it very much. I will probably edit quick video blogs in FCP 7 and more advanced projects with premiere so I can take it straight into after effects.
