KICK ME I'M DOWN: WARRANTY, COMPLETE EDITING SETUP PLUS TRAINING, DRASTIC PRICE REDUCTION $2250 (you cover shipping)

MacBook Pro with warranty, OS X Leopard, Final Cut Studio, Lacie external hard drive, Apple Pro Series training books for Final Cut, and more

Selling my beloved Mac and all that goes along. This is a total package for the new (or not so new) film editor. I'd like to rip this band-aid off as quickly as possible and so I'd like to sell everything together....

Everything, except the DuelAdapter, I purchased new from a local, authorized retailer or from the publisher. Everything is in really good shape, most with the original packaging (the books have the most wear and may have notes in the margins and highlighting in them). The warranty will cover the MacBook Pro for another year and is fully transferable. This package includes:

1) MacBook Pro 15" 2.4GHz/2GB/160GB
  • Includes: all power cords, battery, CDs, booklets, remote, cables, adapters that originally came with the computer, plus a 14' cat5e patch cable
2) AppleCare Protection Plan w/ CD (covers computer until August 2010)

  • has about 1 year left of coverage (I bought the computer and AppleCare Plan on 8/21/2007). IT IS TRANSFERABLE and I'll be sure to take care of that and get it transferred into the purchaser's name, etc.

  • The AppleCare Protection Plan covers your Mac to three years from the computer’s purchase date. It also covers an AirPort Extreme Card, an AirPort Express or AirPort Extreme Base Station, and Apple RAM used with the Mac.

2) Offspring USB 4-Port Glow Hub

  • never used, still in original package

3) LaCie Rugged Hard Drive (300GB)

  • with firewire 800 cable, firewire 400 cable, hi-speed USB 2.0 cable, USB power cable
  • used with Mac's Time Machine auto backup
4) DuelAdapter (for using P2 cards with this Mac)

  • this is the only item on the list I did not buy directly from an authorized retailer. I bought it from a fine person here on DVXUser.com

5) Mac OS X Leopard (version 10.5.4 Retail)

6) The Mac OS X Leopard Book by Scott Kelby

7) Office Mac Pro 2004 CD/License (Academic)

  • From the Manufacturer
Microsoft Office 2004 for Mac provides the intuitive, intelligent tools you need to transform your ideas and opportunities into action. Whether you use your Mac for home, school, or business, Office 2004 offers full versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Entourage 2004 designed exclusively for Mac OS X. The Professional Edition also comes with Virtual PC Version 7 for those who need to access PC-only files or applications.
8) iLife 2008

  • new in box, never opened.
9) Parallels Desktop 4.0 for Mac

  • With Leopard, you can run Windows on this Mac in Bootcamp--that's great, but you need to shut down Mac and open Windows in order to get to that Windows environment. Parallels lets you work on Windows and Mac at the same time and share files between them.

10) Apple Final Cut Studio 2 (Academic)

  • Final Cut Studio 2 delivers an integrated post-production solution that lets you move effortlessly from editing to color grading to creating motion graphics to sculpting audio to multiformat encoding and DVD authoring. This version features Final Cut Pro 6, Motion 3, Soundtrack Pro 2, Compressor 3, DVD Studio Pro 4, and Color, the newest member of the suite (when I bought it in Aug 2007).
  • Of course, this includes all the CDs, manuals/books that come with the Studio
11) Apple Pro Training Series Books (all with DVDs), inlcuding

  • Final Cut Pro 6 (by Diana Weynand)
  • DVD Studio Pro 4 2nd Edition (by Sitter, Ramseier, and Scholfield)
  • Motion Graphics and Effects in Final Cut Studio 2 (by Spencer and Schofield)
  • Soundtrack Pro 2 (by Martin Sitter)
11.1) Also, along with the Apple training books, I can include

  • Producing Great Sound for Digital Video 2nd Edition (with Audio CD) (by Jay Rose)
