MacBook as video moniror?

is ist possible to use a MacBook or Macbook Pro as an external monitor to proof video settings live?

Well none of those are hd for starters. Also you'll likely find there will be a second or two's delay in the picture. Lastly check that they are MAC compatible: I've pulled so much hair out trying to get older usb capture devices working... often they only work with their own proprietary (aka: lousy) software.

Definitely read a lot of reviews first.

i think ill go for something like the "Matrox MXO2 box" if necessary. I just thought it would be nice to set up the camera properly and to double check the settings on location. Just bought this camera couple days ago and need to figure the best settings for me.

Nothing to stop you grabbing the card and doing a quick log and transfer of some footage for initial testing purposes, and that's pretty much a free option :)
