Mac Vs. Pc

I need to upgrade my computer from 512mb RAM/60gb HDD to either a MAC with 1gb to 2gb of RAM and 200GB HDD, or a PC with the same. Im wondering what people on ehre think of MAC for editing FX1 footy as opposed to PC;s
