MAC G4 Running FC Express HD

If I knew that FC Express HD will let me edit FX1 footage fairly well, I would buy the program instantly. I don't expect real time transitions, but at least some scrubbing and some cut and paste. Nowhere on the Apple site do they mention how well the program would work on a G4 system. Looking at minimal requirements is no indication. If anyone has that information, please let me know.

A G4 is not that much slower than a g5. If you've got a gig of ram you should be fine. HDV is still only 25mgs per second, like DV.

yes it actually runs OK with the Apple Intermediate Codec that came with Imovie, and I can edit fine on FCP with it.
