I Downloaded 2 videos from my itunes account and they are in this format , m4v and i cant play or convert them with any program.

can someone help me.

Try MPEGStreamclip (it's free). You should also be able to use it to transcode to other formats that you 'can' play. However, if it's got DRM then you may be out of luck.

...as does MPEGStreeamclip (I tried it prior to suggesting it).

Where did you download the video from? If it's a commercial video then it may have DRM (digital rights management) preventing playback ???

Thats what im thinking its from ITUNES, I bought it and downloaded it to my pc so iono why it wouldnt work I mean MAC sorry.

keeps telling me to open it with itunes, but i want a copy on my mac

I also have qt 7 pro and VLC and nither of them will play the m4v file.

I did that and i want a copy on my hd not on itunes, but ya iono

LOL It's already on your HDD to be able to play in iTunes :)

You can copy the file anywhere you want, to any hard disk you want, but you have to open it in iTunes to play it.

If you buy movies in iTunes, you gotta play'em in iTunes or at least on an authorised Apple device, which is why I never buy them that way :)

OTOH, when you buy it on Blu-ray, you gotta play'em on Blu-ray, there's no legal way to "pirate" that to an HDD, at least not around here.
