I have a GH1. I really like (not love) the video quality and I'm generally satisfied with still photos as well. I'm waiting to see what the GH3 is all about before either picking up one of those or a GH2 for better video quality. But I know the quality of stills is much higher in other cameras. I can see it in my girlfriends Nikon and in previous Nikon and Canon cameras I have owned myself. Especially when I look back at the photos I took on those cameras.
I've considered buying a Canon or Nikon just for still photography use. But I would kind of like to stick to m4/3 and build my lens arsenal around it. I have both a Minolta MD and Nikon G adapter for my GH1, but I really want to start investing in AF/IS glass I can use for both photos and video. Especially now that more manufacturers are jumping on the m4/3 bandwagon and we're seeing new lenses like the 12-35 f2.8 from Panasonic.
So are there any m4/3 cameras that really shine for stills? Compariable in still photo quality to Canon or Nikon DSLRs? Something I can pick up for just still photos in addition to my GH1 and possible future GH2/3 for video.
