RedRock M2

What is the difference? The price seems extremely...great. :beer:for the old M2.
I was leaning towards the SGblade but I saw the price on the old M2 models and it made me wonder. Am I better off just saving up for the SGblade, or is the old m2 a good product to use with my XH-A1?

Thanks.

Well the facts are, everybody seems to be stocking EBAY nowadays with older Redrock M2s. That must say something. You will still need a lens mount and a rod system with that M2. Technology has improved considerably and so has Redrock with M2E and Blade well is quite the rave. Your camera works fantastic on a lot of the newer adapters, including Letus and Cinemek G35. Save for what you really want, take your time and do the research, Trust me, i have been there , You only live once. Cheers

Thanks, thats what I was thinking. I have researched the SGblade to death and it looks so damn good. From the exterior to the actual footage.
So looks like i'm gonna buy the SGblade.
Do you happen to have any experience with the IndieRailsProXV?

I know it sounds like im being cheap but the m2 thing was just a curiosity; it looked good but not as good as the SGblade.
But how about the indieXV rails?

mmm, I wounder why Redrock doesn't tell the difference. I'm sure they are getting the same questions everyday...

anyways, from my understanding
the old M2 has more vignetting and light loss.
the M2e runs with internal cells and has back focus adjustments.
also I think the optics are better in the M2e too...

for the rod support yeah, any 15mm rod support will pretty much work.
I have Chrosziel rods for sale right now so let me know if you are interested.

RYVAC, Correct about the M2 differences, GottaBeTheJuice, No direct experience with the Indie Rails, but they sure are low priced huh? I have had a full Cavison rail system and it was fine at first. It got a little creaky and flimsy as my camera rig grew.

But here's the thing mate, SG BLADE is a nice piece of gear, and it is a little weighty as well. You will need to secure that rig down snug! Their rails & riser, mounting plate are pretty good, i think they are, hmmm, $375.00 or so.

Now Zacuto is the best, a bit pricey but they are the Jaguar of camera support. Again it's all about budget, but do not skimp and i say that politely on the lens support, that will secure the adapter firmly. You don't want to walk around like you a carrying a crate of eggs. Are you guys going to CINE GEAR EXPO, you should check out all the camera candy there.

How much you selling them for? Also do you have some pics of it?

On another note, Depth of Phil I am probably not going to the Cine Expo but it sure does look great.
