Hey guys, just wanted to know if anyone here has used the Nikon 1.4x teleconverter with the M2?
I have one on order and I figured that a $150 investment would in theory give me 4 "new" prime lenses. There is only a one stop loss, so it isn't that bad. I'll be sure to write back at what my experience is. The following is my lens list and the four "new" lenses this converter will..... well, convert.
*It is suggested lenses under 50mm are not great when used with the converter. I would agree anyway, since the 24mm converted is 33.6mm and the 35mm converted is 49mm. Since I own a nice 35mm and 50mm, a 33.6 and 49mm does not give much benefit anyhow.
Nikon
*24mm f/2.8
*35mm f/1.4
50mm f/1.4
85mm f/1.8
105mm f/2.5
80-200mm zoom f/4
With teleconverter I will get these lenses:
70mm f/2.0
119mm f/2.5
147mm f/3.5
112mm- 280mm f/5.6
