M (erciless) Night Shyamalan

Very nice and valid post, Draccan. I'm seconding on the idea that Night does have the tendency and consistancy to sit me on the edge o'my seat.

Especially in Signs. The basement scene was VERY well done and quite frightening. There was realistic human drama mixed in with the fantastic.

I think any and all opinions of Tarantino's acting ability must be held pending a viewing of "Destiny Turns On the Radio." If you haven't seen that, you're in no position to judge.

(BTW, he sucks.)

Great ?

No no noooooooooooooooo

Capable of playing bit cameo's ? I think so. He was surprisingly good in From Dusk Till Dawn; it being an over the top comic book horror film

His Jimmy in Pulp Fiction is hilarious

"Don't f ucking Jimmy me Jules ..."

I don't necasarily want to see him show up on a constant basis but he's done well in a few of these parts; and oh yeah 'Four Rooms' he was fun in

Can you believe that he originally wanted to play the role of Mr. Pink (the Steve Buscemi role) in Reservoir Dogs, but was talked out of it.

i think he writes better for his own characters like the they said for FDTD he wrote the first half which was purely him and grreat till RR started writing and it fell off and went cheap. TQ is funny when he plays himself.

back at whats at hand i surpirsed night didnt get an supporting actor razzies nom.

I love Shyamalan and I loved Lady in the Water. Obviously, I'm in the minority.

I liked it too. Not his best work (due to his bad acting, which really distracted me), but, if done by anybody else, would be considered a good film.

I believe its just cool to bash Shyamalan right now. Next month should be someone else :)

back to the race thing lol my friend said (who is african american) said black people love cereal. i dunno what his facts are but i notice this in a lot of films when i researching and he said he got 7 boxes of cereal waiting in his house so... i dunno...

It was a unique movie, enjoyable and diffrent......

Problem these days is everyone copies everyone elses work....

M.Night is diffrent. Yes but this is because hes a Leonardo Da Vinci.
Just like Speilberg, Lucas and many others.

If you like Speilberg moves then I'm sure you'll like people who copy and study from them and then make Speilberg type films....

At the end of the day as an artist its ok to make something unique and fresh.

LITW was a great modern story tale.

Holy LMFAO. Dude... trust me, he's not far off from the [mysterious] truth.

I do have to say one thing about the stereotyping: One of my best friends is Anglo-Indian and his family dresses just like M. Night does in LADY IN THE WATER. And his house even looks like that. So he did stereotype himself, it's just not as blatant. And I mean right down to the necklace around his neck.

but he made the other more blunt i would say. i surpirse he wasnt snake chraming like the mexican family of 30 and the dragon lady... sorry if it sounds bad but thats what it looks like.
