M 4/3 world getting smaller

Your headline led me to think that there are fewer cameras and lenses being made for the Micro Four Thirds format.

I am impressed with the camera and it seems like a fair deal. I won't buy it, because it has rolling shutter, but that's just me.

In eight grade journalism, I learned that headlines are supposed to tell the whole story, just in very little detail, because it's one brief sentence.

The first sentence is again supposed to tell the whole story, too, but with more detail.

The first paragraph is again supposed to tell the whole story, yet with more detail.

And so on, so that you can get out of the article at any time, but you knew the story's beginning, middle, and end. It's just a matter of how much detail you wanted.

If you have useful information about the camera, welcome.
For eight grade journalism lectures, sorry I'm still in the 7th grade.

Actually I just got into M43 last month with the Panasonic G7 to try the 4k and it's amazing. I have a lot of Canon glass and using a 0.65 speedbooster. The the availability of lenses for M43 isn't an issue. For rolling shutter that is a problem but can be worked around to some extent. I'm really just looking for new alternatives and a tiny M43 body that shoots 4K may be a useful solution. Do you have examples of the rolling shutter you mentioned? That would be useful to see.

You switching to m43? I am tempted. Panny has come a long way. I still can't fall in love with the colors, until i see the camera cost as much as a t5i or d5300 and i realize it is actually really really good. Still can't bring myself to do it, and i still don't know anyone that has one, may try to rent one.

I had hesitations for a year between the GH4, Sony FF and even the NX1. I picked up a G7 in Nov. because it was so cheap there weren't any more excuses. I sold my 60D the same day, but keeping the 600D for stills.
Ive been shooting a lot of interviews and all ages of kids for a few project and I have to say I love the color and skin tones. Even lighting works the best with this camera and I can see why some people have color problems in poor lighting. The sad truth, most people don't understand what lighting is.
I got used to the small camera size very fast. Makes the 600D feel like a 5D now.
Can't speak for everyone, but after 7 years with Canon FF and apsc there is no turning back. You should pick up a G7 and work with it for a few months. You can always sell it and get most of your money back.
