m 4/3 to Nikon CX?

I would also be very interested in this lens if it could cover the micro 4/3 sensor, but I doubt it. CX sensor size is 13.2 x 7.4mm, while micro 4/3 is 17 x 13 (the portion of the sensor that is used). That's a big difference. I also noticed on a review of a similar lens (the Nikon 10-30 for the CX system) that it vignettes some at the 10mm setting- which would make it unusable with Micro 4/3. If anyone knows for sure, please post.

I don't believe Nikon CX mount lenses will be usable. They have a flange distance of 17mm, whereas m43 is 20mm, so that means the lens would have to sit 3mm *inside* the body of the m43 camera. Not likely to happen. Might be possible to mount m43 lenses on a CX camera body, but I don't think you'll see CX lenses mounted on an m43 body. It's possible though; c-mount lenses have a similar flange back and some of them (not all, but some) can be mounted on an m43 body, if their diameter is small enough that the lens mount adapter can be physically recessed into the camera body.

But, as mainstreetprod says, it's doubtful that even if you could get the lens to mount, that it would even cover the sensor...

Thanks guys. I figured it probably wouldn't work. But Hey why not find out for sure.

Thanks for your help Barry, and mainstreetprod.
