GH3 Lx100 - Yet again, another one shot dance video.

Hey great work! Really like their red and black clothes against the white room. Also peeped the other dance vid and some of your other Youtube vids. Nice job of knowing where to be and how to work the space. Great locations in your work. That Beholder gimbal looks like it's really working for you. Every time I convince myself I don't need an LX100, someone like you comes along and makes me want it again haha.

I'm curious - are you actively monitoring or do you tend to go deep on your DOF and keep a consistent distance? Also, have you tried anything heavier on the Beholder? I haven't really done that much gimbal work.

Thanks for checking it out! I usually set it to 2.8-4 and don't mess with focus, just try to stay the same distance and staring at the screen for framing. The lx100 sensor is so small that it's easy to get a deep dof.

I have used it with a g6 and kit lens. It worked out great as well. Purchased a G7 this week as well so I will try with that hopefully really soon. If you do decide to get a beholder I would recommend getting the DS1 rather than the MS1. The DS1 allows much more weight and is not much more in price. I still may end up buying one for heavier cameras.

I love the LX100!! If you can find a good deal on one I would highly recommend purchasing it. It's such a great camera for travel/gimbal work. I get some funny looks sometimes showing up to film with a tiny camera, but then they're all impressed on how high quality the footage is from it. haha

Cool deal, thanks for the suggestion on the Beholder. I've been wanting the LX100, but the fixed lens (even though it's very impressive) always made me second guess. Now the GX85 is coming out to make my decision even harder! But no doubt, if the price comes down even more on the LX, I might just have to pick one up. That lens combo + size is really hard to beat.

Keep up the good work!

The tilt/touch screen alone make the Gx85 a better camera in my opinion! haha. I am sure you will be happy with either camera though. Thanks and will do!
