My friends and I shot another quick dance video with the Lx100. Using the Beholder Ms1 for the gimbal. This one was a ton of fun and we were able to get everything second try thankfully! haha. :)

very nice!

were you using AF? i imagine you were. only a few times when a person get real close it didn't quite grab it. was that because they were too close or the AF couldn't grab it fast enough? no biggie though as 99% looked very tight!

you definitely had good energy & structure with your movements in and out of the action.

what ISO? shutter speed? did you use a fixed exposure? wide open on the LX100?

i actually have an LX100 but hardly every use it but recently bought the Came TV Single for my A7sII and LX100 but it was defective so i returned it. i still have the Ronin but the LX100 would look funny on there. LOL!

great job!! makes me want to get a small handheld gimbal again for my LX100 and A7sII. hopefully NAB will have some new offerings...maybe 5 AXIS.

Very nice! Choreography was great, camera movements were almost 100% spot on. Lighting was well done, and I'm also curious about your settings. 4K or 1080p, Fstop, focusing etc. It really all came together great. I have thought about the LX100 to pair with the GH4 and as a light travel camera and this video really does it justice, to be sure.

Thanks for watching! Nope it was shot in manual focus, with focus peaking. 4k30fps ISO was 640 I believe. F2.8 1/60th shutter. I love the MS1 gimbal! I wish the DS1 was out when I bought it though.

wow thats interesting that you shot in MF. can i assume that you couldn't touch the camera's focus when shooting? did you just focus at a pre-determined distance then just stick with it the whole video? maybe focusing @ around 5-6 feet in front of the camera?

thanks again!

Yep, I just set the focus for a few feet of me and left it alone while filming. Focus peaking helps a ton being able to judge when to step forward or back. The really close up shots are out of focus but for the most part it worked out well I think. :)
