"Lunchbreak" Short Film

Pretty good. I liked your compositions, but the downloaded .mov looked a little under exposed. The DoF was nice, any adapter, or just stock lens? wasn't feeling the jump cuts so much. I know what you were going for with them, but for me it just wasn't working. would really benefit from some music too.

I take it as a fine cut?
 
I liked it and i think the jump cuts worked, and i don't think it needed any music. My only gripe is that the end is a little....well....flat & un-interesting - Could have done with a more original twist. From a technical point of view it was great, good sound too. Your direction is spot on! nice one.
 
Very, very good. I agree with others, the ending isn't as good as it could've been. The acting was too good to have such an anticlimactic resolution. Also, probably too late to do anything about this, but the blood on the actor's shirt as he emerged from the room (i think his name was Jamie) was a pretty small little stain. I was expecting a lot more from someone who just shot a guy at close range.

Also, in the credits it says "director oh photography" not "of." Im pretty sure atleast, I closed out of the video, and i gotta run so I can't make sure. Take a look, i think it might have been wrong.
 
pretty good film man. I like how its shot. What were the technical specs. Any adapters? Lights? What was the budget? How did you find the actors? What program did you edit with? would love to know how you acheived the look. Great stuff. keep it up!
 
Pretty enjoyable. Had its flaws but hey, it was just a directing exercise right? I thought it was very well directed. Keep it up.
 
For a guy that looks like he's just about to break his virginity because he's so scared to take charge, he sure knows how to kill a man. It was good but the girls performance needs work, especially when she was outside the room when her boyfriendS were inside playing patty cake. She should have let it all out, but instead she held back and it effected the outcome. I thought the end was cool though, but it would been sweet if the guy came out like he did "we think he killed the other guy" but then at the last second he drops dead and the other guy walks out?
 
the outside shots looked very good. the whole thing looked nice. noticeable audio cuts from shot to shot though, fluctuating background noise. i was sure the two guys were lovers...
