lumix x 45-170 powerzoom

Why bother? It's not like you could do zoom moves with it. I'm sure it simply zooms, with no smooth speed changes like you get on an ENG servo zoom.

Played with one at IBC, and hated it - really poor quality and slow as a snail. The power zoom does get you in vision zooms, of course, but having the rocker on the lens means your shot gets pushed way off if you're handheld - you'll only be able to use it on tripod. I'm prepared to have my mind changed, but so far I think it's a pointless lens, far better to wait for the 12-35 and 35-100.

I'm not sure if anyone has heard, but does anyone know if (for the AF100) a zoom rocker can be used to control it? I know in the Lumix line you will have the option to change the sensitivity with firmware updates, but I haven't heard anything with regard to external control.
