LUMIX G 14mm f/2.5 LENS Noob Question

Concerning this new GH2 lens -Panasonic LUMIX G 14mm f/2.5 ASPH LENS - or for that matter, the current pancake that's already available for the GH1, what sort of shot(s) would I use such a lens for if I was making an amatuer short film? What does it give me? I've made lots of short vids with my Pani camcorders but I'm just learning all about the VDSLR interchangeable lens scene. Thanks.

Establishing shots. You can use wide angles on close-ups if you want sort of a forced perspective look, but that's a rare use. The 20mm is less wide and really more of a standard-ish lens.

So, might it be good for two actors sitting at a table over a cup of coffee doing dialog, something like that? Thanks for your reply.

yep especially if you dont have much room to position your cam
