Like the title sez; Lumix 20mm - the Push Auto focus button works, but the switch (Man/Auto/Infin) does not. When switched into Auto, "MF ONLY" appears. And the lens doesn't autofocus. When Push is hit, the lens focuses.

Ummm..... duh?

Confirmed AF switch works properly with Lumix 14-140. Lens check is on.

yup. thats listed in the manual which lenses work and dont work

Help me out... which manual, where? Looked through the PDFs, but didn't see anything. (other than "some models of lens...")

I just can't believe a Panasonic AF Lumix lens wouldn't AF on the AF100. I mean, really?!

Yeah, the 20/1.7 is a bit curmudgeony on the AF100 in general - aside from the autofocus issue is the slow-responding iris, then add in how awkward it can be to manual focus. Pity, its a nice length, speed, and quality otherwise.

Firmware may be the answer, as the lens works quicker on my GH2, and quicker still on my ELP1.

And in the testing I was doing, noticed how the 20 overshoots both ways during AF ops. Well, it's fast and cheap.

Another light weight option for Steadicam work is the small autofocus, OIS, relatively inexpensive ($299) Lumix 14-45.

Yeah I love the 20mm on my GH2 because it's small and versatile- but for the AF100 not so much. Rack focusing with it is a joke.
