Lumix 14-140 VS Tokina 28-70? What does everyone think? Which lens is sharper on the Af-100?

Would be nice to see some screen grabs. Which mount do you have for the Tokina, what adapter are you using?
Thanks!
That's good to know, I have both lenses as well but hav;t really done any comparison shots to test color and sharpness.
Having owned both lenses, I think that the Lumix 14-140 is a little sharper, but the Tokina 28-70 is far more useful indoors with it's constant aperture of f/2.8. I use the Tokina all of the time to shoot interviews and B-Roll with fantastic results.
I have the AT-X Pro II f/2.6-2.8 version of the Tokina which is based on a lens designed by Angenieux. I won't ever get rid of it, it's a great lens. It doesn't change length when focusing or zooming, and it holds it's focus while zooming.
I sold my Lumix 14-140mm, but I won't ever sell the Tokina.

You started the thread and asked a question that by a simple test you could have answered for your self and given us the info. WTF.
Our experience with SLR lenses is very limited so any "test" that I could conduct regarding coloring, sharpness, etc., would most likely generate questionable results which is why I would much rather post the question here so that more experienced individuals such as yourself could provide more reliable opinions.
I've bought a number of excellent vintage lenses from KEH, and they have the experience to reliably distinguish the Pro II from Tokina's other variants.Because I am in the market for a quality 28 - 70 lens such as the Tokina AT-X Pro II f/2.6-2.8
I purchased the Pro I version on eBay over the weekend. I've been looking for that version for about two months. They come and go quick. Here is a link that will help you understand the different models Tokina made.Because I am in the market for a quality 28 - 70 lens such as the Tokina AT-X Pro II f/2.6-2.8 ( and I eny that Matt and you actually have one and I cant even find one to buy)... I am real keen to see a test what ever it is. I am struggling to find a lens that meets my criteria in that range.
You have one ...and the other. Line them up on color / rez charts and some "skin" and lets us judge how they compare .
Then we all add to our knowledge base.
Love my Tokina 28-70mm:

I was going to post something just like this, but I'll just add a big +1 to what was said!
How smooth is the focus and zoom on the Tamron 28-70? I have the Tamron 17-50 and althought it is sharp and parafocal, the zoom and focus are not smooth.
I have one of the variant models of the Tokina 28-70mm in Nikon mount. Here's a link to an informative article on the revisions Tokina made to this lens over the years:I am in the market for a quality 28 - 70 lens such as the Tokina AT-X Pro II f/2.6-2.8...
