Lumix 12-35mm f2.8 the TELEPHOTO lens

This lens just may breath more life into the AF100. We shall see. Now Panny, get off your butts and try to do a firmware update that reduces or solves the highlight clipping!

I got a Nikon 35-70/2.8 just for fun but as it turns out I use this lens alot on my AF. I think 35mm is not the best focal to break at. I would like to see either 24mm or 50mm as the breaking focal when considering a dual 12-100mm lens-set.

I have been pleased with the 14-54mm range of my Olympus lenes on the GH2. Kind of like the 24-70 vs 24-105 range in Canon FF land. I much prefer the 24-105mm for the extra reach.

hm, cant make up my mind..... if it would be around 700-800$ i would buy it, but 1300$ - its kind of too much for me, - not for pany lens... i like its wide 12mm, but 35mm for tele ...... not enough for 1300$ !

after using oly 14-54 and sigma 18-50...... i see that zooming up to 35mm does not do much good for me....., i think the 12-60 would be the perfect range ... there is oly, but unfourtunatly its not constant f2.8 and does cllicks on zooming

Well, funny or not, I've ordered one. I also wish it was a 5:1, 12-50.. But there just isn't much out there that's light weight. I have the Zuiko 14-54, which is clunky, have used the 14-140, which is, well, close but no cigar - I just hope this lens will talk nicely to the AF. I doubt that it's par focal, however. The fact that it extends when zoomed signals a varifocal design. And Panasonic certainly isn't mentioning it in their marketing if it is.

Hmm, this isn't serious is it? Telephoto lens? Looks nice though. Enjoyed the way they describe a constant aperture throughout the zoom like it's never been done before :) But regardless, great focal range for the M4/3rds

I couldn't agree more!

We're getting ready for a test to see which camera we'll use moving forward. Canon has offered a C300 for a week, & now that the FS700's firmware is finalized I need to contact Sony. I love much about the AF100, but it's chroma clipping may relegate it to the shelf.
