Lumix 12-35 zoom ring 14mm marking

On the zoom ring there is a tiny indication of where the 14mm position is. Obviously, this is the position for the 14mm focal length, but why single this length out? What is so special about 14mm?

On the zoom ring there is a tiny indication of where the 14mm position is. Obviously, this is the position for the 14mm focal length, but why single this length out? What is so special about 14mm?

I can think of one thing and that is just something I heard.

It's that classic cinema photographers seldom use anything wider then 28mm (2x14 crop)
