GH5 Lumix 12-35 vs Leica 12-60

I decided to buy the 20-60mm. Just received it.

If feels solid but is still light, much lighter than I expected. Focus is fast and totally noiseless.
Zoom works great and looks parfocal.

it is always fun to get a new piece of good gear.

The 12-60mm lens turns out a great travel and run and gun lens, the extra reach over the 12-35mm is great and with the 1.4 magnification option you effectively have a 24-168mm full frame equivalent range with one single lens.

Looks pretty sharp! So much so that everything is in focus. I've considered this lens. Right now I have the 12-35 MkII.

One thing I notice in your video, and I have noticed in my own hand held GH5 Dual IBIS footage, is that on hand held shots the image rolls left/right more than what the camera was actually physically doing in my hands. There's a constant rocking that bothers me. I hope they adjust this in the next FW update.

True, and the shots are pretty much taken with the widest aperture!

The 12-60mm is certainly not a shallow DOF lens.

For instance look at this one for contrast. Most shots were taken at f/1.3

Here's a video shot hand held with the GH5 and the 12-35 MkI. I was shooting between f4 and f7.1 and I seem to be getting more bokeh. For non-pro stuff I usually shoot in 1080, which allows me to punch in 2X with the crop function. I find that I get a lot of good range like that.

Can anyone tell any "leica lens mojo" difference between the Lumix 12-35 and Leica 12-60 from these shots, or any other sample shots online?
