Ken Hendricks (Khendrix2) will be the DP on a feature I am directing this summer. We wanted to put something together to put on the web to give people a feel for what we are going for. Right now we just have the teaser, but the site is under development. Feedback is appreciated.

Looks good, Loved the over head shot going around the building.... Nothing like a nice camera move....

is it a comedy or an action flick?

It's along the lines of Get Shorty or Out of Sight in tone. Morally ambiguous folks engaged in nefarious activities while making sarcastic attempts at romance.

The crane shot was Ken's idea. I originally wanted to do the whole thing at ground level, but he talked me out of in about 5 seconds.

Thanks for looking

I'd recognize that "Electric Rodeo" song anywhere. Sorry - had to mention it.

Good to see some Colorado work getting done. Keep up the good work!

Yeah, it was a last minute thing. I use soundtrack loops all the time, but I usually modify them a lot more than that. The problem is that it's a perfect fit for the trailer.

yea this looked cool man. loved the overhead shot too. what type of crane did you use for the shot of the guy climbing the fence? also where'd you get the counterfeit money from to fill up the briefcase?

The overhead shot was done with a Kessler, but the low shot of the fence was just Ken laying the camera on a sandbag and tilting up by hand.

The money filling up the briefcase is computer paper. I photocopied a $100 bill (yes, i know that's illegal) to use for top of each stack, then strapped the fake one over the blank stacks. We made the bands ourselves, based on a real one. The stack of cash he is throwing is real money, but it's just singles. We wanted that to look real, and paper doesn't really look like money when it moves. Glad you liked it.

oh okay, slick. i thought you may have been on a roof and did that overhead shot by hand and the fence shot by crane. cool.

what size kessler was that? 8ft or 12ft? it seemed pretty high up.

Actually, we were on a roof. The roof was about 10-12 feet high. The crane was the 12 footer, almost horizontal.

Did I mention the money in the briefcase was our budget?

ha, priceless. lucky for you the actor didn't run off with it, lol.

It was actually kind of weird havng this briefcase full of money open, and these guns lying there (we weren't sure which one we were going to use, soi they were all out). We were shooting in a studio, but these people walked in and didn't know what to think. The joys of make-believe.
