I wanted to post this before i got on the road to go home... This is the 20 minute short film ive been talking about for a while. This is a pre release as there are a few things i want to change after watching it on a big screen. But anyway, here it is. Comments more than welcome.

regarding the street scenes were you two actually standing there on the divider?
reminds me of something id do with no regard for human life haha
 
haha yah, i put the camera right on top of the yellow lines, inches from the cars... it was even worse for the actor who had to do that wit his eyes closed!

Id love to hear some more opinoins on this.. i spent months working on it. Feedback is good

I LIKED THE CONCEPT ALOT HOWEVER I WASNT A BIG FAN OF HOW THE DIALOG WAS ACTED. I DIDNT BELIEVE THEY WERE HAVING A CONVERSATION. BUT THE WALKING SHOTS WITH LUD WIG IN THE BACK HAD ALOT OF CINEMATIC POWER. KEEP MAKING THEM YOU GOT A GOOD EYE.
 
If you could make a quicktime compatible copy of the film I would watch it..

I downloaded the WMV file.. it would play in VLC, MPlayer, or even Windows Media Player..

All I got was sound in every case, and a black screen.
 
yeah well, i guess ill be the first to say i didnt like it. i found it very predictable and VERY slow. i really didnt know what was happening when, and that wasn't your intention. your intention i think was to confuse the viewer about weather he is dreaming or not. then you pulled in these drugs which had no explanation really, and other things, like the music, that i felt didnt fit. but my biggest problem, was the cinematography. there was SO MUCh head room it hurt.

what ever happened to that old trailer i watched with the ring girl going all jerky. that was cool and scary. this was really... fake i guess would be the word.
 
I must admit that after seeing the grabs in the "school girl grabs" post.......... I was expecting more...........of them.

That was just a little part of the film, not trying to make a porno here

The trailer you are thinking of is for a different movie. I agree the begining is slow but the rest isnt that bad. When didnt you know what was happening? As I said the audio needs to be tweaked a bit to fix the levels, was that part of it? Funny you hated the cinematography as thats what has gotten the most compliments. But thanks for your input, cant please everyone but its good to get everyones criticisms. At the very least I'll be more careful with the head room, because no going back and watching it some scenes you are right there is too much. Live, learn, improve.
 
Really please don't take it personal, I guess I just have a short attention span and this short just didn't keep it. I watched about 5min and skipped through the rest, it just didn't keep my attention.
 
What killed it for me was the acting and dialogue. I actually was trying to listen more than watch if that makes sense. There were some interesting shots. Interesting that some people made the references to the girls and etc. I had the feeling that a lot of the lighting was manipulated like...porn...70's porn. But not porn porn, but like someone was giving us the illusion of porn.

Anyway, I would say, next time take more time to cast better actors as that was the weakest part for me.
 
I thought this was a pretty cool film.
For some reason the sound was a little off it might be my speakers though...
