thats like someone saying...i know my dad kicks the **** out of me every night, and sometimes gets a little too touchy, but if it were not for him, i wouldnt be born, period. (maybe not totaly like that, but kinda) :D

you know, don't know if you guys watch the WEBDOCS- those are shot on DVX's. pretty cool docs. I wish I had that job. making webdocs. and the latest, VIDEO VILLAGE. those VIDEO VILLAGES are cool.

I agree on many terms though that he overdoes it on the changing of the films.
if that hayden thing is true, then I'm going to laugh real hard once I see it.
But it must be a nice thing to connect those movies as one.

 I just don't understand why he didn't change obiwan to Ewan?

life's too short to dwell in star wars films. I love bruce lee but I don't go back to the dang old movies- it looks like garbage.

the puppets wouldn't look right on video anyhow. Film is still king over "warming" things up.
besides, he does have puppets in the movies. but he's "pushing the envelope" and advancing his love for the digital age. He's just havin' a ball making a movie the way he always wanted to. what a pioneer.
yeah I'm gonna watch episode 3 anyway.

  In a way, I'm glad he's doing it like this even though the story might not be all that great, because, seriously, movies these days need to have that modern feel. up to dateness kinda thing going on. The original starwars was a pure advancement back in the day.
 If Lucas doesn't do that with his movies today, then only fans from 1977 will watch it, appreciate it. kids who watch the movie that you wanted him to make will look at it and fall asleep. not even just kids.. even teens. Tastes change, times change. nostalgia rules, but you can't help but do new things for the sake of moving on.
 this is the now generation- you were then generation... (I was in between-so im all for it) Lucas is doing the right thing with the new episodes. as for tinkering with his old ones...well, all i care is that they better look good with the original movies.
 it's sort of adventureous. later in the years we'll say, look son, Lucas, that bastard changed this part, right here. right there too!
then our kids will search for the originals....

I dont want to be a cynical man. But I guess I am.

I hope Indy 4 will be good. Not great, I'm just hoping for goodness. Like the 3rd one. It wasnt fantastic, but it was ok.

But right now, Harrison Ford is like a 1000 or something. He seems permanently pissed and is hanging out with Ally Mcbeal. He has lost it as much as lucas.

Which leaves Spielberg. Great Director. But lets not forget. He directed Jurassic Park 2. Ooh Stinker....

Example: John Carpenter :-/ (how can a man who makes such amazing movies at the start of his career just suck ass today? I mean really suck some major assage...)

Dark Star - Made with Dan O Bannon (Yes, the writer of Aliens, Return of the Living Dead and Total Recall)

Assault on Precinct 13 - Did you even see this? One of the coolest ass flicks ever. Need a remake on this one.

Halloween - Nothing even needs to be sais

Fog, The - Something cool about this film; spooky, surreal, original; Jamie Lee

Escape from New York - One of the coolest flicks ever

Thing, The - One of my favorites of all time; scary perfect

Christine - I like this to this day. Carpenter with a the first real budget and stayed true to Carpenter style and probally one of the best KING stories ever brought to screen

Big Trouble in Little China - I know it was camp but damnit, it was fun.

They Live - Same thing. Weird, comic, camp, fun

Starman - A different film than what I was used to by JC but pretty cool


Ghosts of Mars - Sucked

Vampires - Sucked

Escape from L.A. - Should be retitles SPIELBERGS HOOK. This film is so bad it ranks up there with the remake to PLANET OF THE APES

Village of the Damned - WTF was this crap? These kids arent even scary

In the Mouth of Madness - Boring, lame.

Body Bags - WTF was this? I guess he need some dough?

Memoirs of an Invisible Man - Chevy is th eonly good thing about this piece of ****

Prince of Darkness - Prince of my balls is more like it


In closing. John hasnt made a decent film since 1986 (Big Trouble) Seems the bigger the budget, the worse it gets.

 GREEDO fired first? you mean that thing that he missed off to the back of the wall? was that added in? tell me how the original went.

I own the first special edition, the one with extra CGI shots and HANS walking over JABBA's tail.... what's really different about this upcoming version?

I dont remember GREEDO firing first; just HAN chillin, pulling out the blaster and then GANK

NOw as far as that JABBA tail scene goes; LAME LAME LAME and the JABBA CGI itself is sooooo bad.

Han SO fired first. I have the old VHS tapes and he does. Stupid special edition - it even LOOKS bad, forget the loss of coolness of Han. The effect was HORRID

In the original, Greedo never fired. Han gunned him down under the table.

In the "Special Edition", Lucas changed it so that Greedo fired first, so Han wouldn't look like a "cold blooded murderer" or whatever, so he could now claim to be acting in "self defense".

Ridiculous. Han is the man and that was part of the coolness. Han kind of changed from SW to JEDI. What happended to the smuggler/arrogant/nerf herder?
