I've being researching this for hours now...I've got a Nikon D90 and will be filming a short in some dark scenes. I've read the detailed post from Kholi (http://dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?t=146661) but (mistake me if I'm wrong) it doesn't go into detail on how to get low grain levels WITHOUT owning a manual lens.
I'm using a DX, AF-S NIKKOR 55-200mm 1:4-5.6G ED VR lens.
Even when the camera is tripod steady I still get the high ISO. I've tried the 'shining the light into the lens to trick the camera' thing but it doesn't decrease the ISO levels at all. In daylight scenes the ISO is relatively good though so no worries there.
I'm willing to go to great lengths to fix this - I will be seriously indebted to anyone who can help me!
