Low Profile: The Simply Saucer Story

Gregory,

Excellent work. This is one of the best that I've seen on this (or any other) site created with this wonderful camera. You use of light is very good, especially the natural, clean looks that you produced in your outside scenes and inside interviews. I also appreciate that it does not appear that you were trying to be too cute with the camera. What were the scene file settings that you used for your outside and the studio shots? I will be working on two documentaries over the next 2-5 years and would like to produce looks similar to yours in one of them. I look forward to seeing the final product. Keep up the good work.

Top drawer goods.
Really nicely done- bravo.

If that's the trailer then I can't wait to see the whole show!
Keep up the great work!!

Thanks for the compliments. Everything is shot 24pA...pretty straightforward settings - cinegamma - -4 black levels - a bit of tweaking in FCP colour correction. I usually use a polarizer filter outdoors to reduce glare. It's not really the real trailer yet, since I've shot about 30 additional hours since I cut this together. Of course, the hardest part of doing any documentary is figuring out what the story is. Good luck with your projects!
