Low light test? How about NO light test, with Voigtlander 25mm?

So when does the challenge begin? :) Do we post in this thread?

New version - way under exposed - way cooler.
ISO 3200 "Cinema" profile for lower noise. Shooting into mirror for extra bounce.

Only f1.8 as that's the sharpest thing I've got at that aperture. Oh and LA7200 with +1 Diopter.

Need the 25mm now. Credit Card is ready, just need a place to buy it!

That is candle-dancing bokeh from the aluminum foil reflecting back into the mirror

A CHALLENGER APPEARS! damn that looked cinematic

Hey Guys! I saw this thread and it made me smile. After seeing some other low light vids, I figured that this may be a good place to post this low-light comparison (I just shot it with one candle)....I've been asked questions about these two cameras in low light...so here it is. I also think it will give a nice understanding of exactly how CRAZY GOOD the VoitL is in low-light. :)

Enjoy the Canon S95 VS. Panasonic LX5 with one candle in a bathroom mirror, (thus doubling the light).

EDIT: BTW...for those of you who don't know...these are F2.0 lenses on these cameras (both). Also...the LX5 has manual video, but I have found that there is some Panasonic "voodoo" going on in iA mode. It's rather exceptional in low light for it's class...nothing like the VoitL +AF100...but what would you expect? This is less than 400USD on ebay right now...so....anywho)

Beautiful stuff. I'm flabbergasted though! Where is all the grain and noise from shooting at 3200??? I shoot at 200 with TONS of daylight and have noise in my shot, but you're at 3200 with a single candle and the image looks free of noise.... how?

I can see flickering, Barry I take it Vimeo compression added to/generated the banding on the wall behind

There is very, very little noise in an AF100 when properly set up. Be sure to use NORM2 matrix and lower the detail level. It should be utterly noiseless at 200 ISO.

At 3200 there's a little -- about as much as a DVX100 has at 0dB. I used Neat Video to vacuum that up.
