Low light settings?

Just wondering if people could post the settings they use when shooting at night in low light. ive been having some trouble getting my dvx to look good at night. thanks..

shoot at f.28
set gamma to "HIGH"
set your master pedestal to a somewhat high level.. +4 or something.. Or, whatever is bearable to you.

Low light is difficult to get to look good, but these will at least get you a usable image.

Wouldn't you want to shoot with the aperture wide open?

And, original poster, you should probably post in the general or technical section to get more results (or search there, as I'm sure this has been asked before).

You could shoot at wide open, BUT, focusing is a nightmare!

Not if you know how to focus. Remember the mf numbers so you can somewhat judge what is in focus, and yous the focus assist to help out.
