Helllo,
I've been wanting to start one of these for a while.
Coming from the A1 I know the scene file can make a huge difference on the picture the camera creates. I think with the HMC-150 this is less so... but none the less.
Scene File: Dark
DETAIL LEVEL: -3
GAMMA: LOW
MATRIX: CINE-LIKE
Obviously with the detail level lowered i've lowered noise with the side affect of killing sharpness. In my tests -3 you can still achieve a decent image. The low gamma decreases the noise a little from my observations while the cine like matrix gives the color a little needed pop.
Everything else left as default on Scene File 1. I calibrated my 52" Samsung LCD to the best of my ability and then tested which settings looked best under low light.
Do you have any settings that work well? I've heard people say that Scene File 4 is great for low light. That is definitely not the case in my tests. It puts more light in dark parts of the screen but the noise is insane.
What works best for you?
