Low Cost LANC focus?.

Re: Low Cost LANC focus?.

Well,

yesterday I was looking at the varizoom website for a remote zoom controller and I saw a small advertisment on their website, which tells "Programmable Remote Manual Focus for the DVX Coming soon!"

It's at the very bottom of this webpage on the right:

http://www.varizoom.com/controllers/rockdvx.php

Maybe then they will release it (if they do), they will create on other remote able to focus and zoom.

They've had "coming soon" on their page for about a year. I saw the prototype, it's a motor/gear combination that physically turns the focus ring.

There is not now, nor will there ever be, a focus controller for the DVX that works the way LANC focus controllers do.
