low cost battery - any good

currently on ebay, item 280546016221 - say's it's got the new chip and is 1/4 the price of a panasonic equivalent from my dealer.

hmmmm.
 
It is worth a go - otherwise it is £169 which is absolutely crazy. I'll let you know if it is any good.
 
I now have 4 of the cheaper batteries from China. they work PERFECTLY. I paid something like £25 each for them. I also have 6 IDX batteries and the China batteries actually last longer. If you are anywhere near York you are welcome to meet up and have a look at them.

now i am using 3 of the "chipped" batteries and they work really fine... 3-4 hours each battery
 
Yep, and these latest ones, which were 4500mAh seem to work perfectly, with the remaining juice display showing about 250mins. The ebay seller was 'bt-flash'. They were $33.50 including shipping.

I normally use OEM accessories but in this case, £169 vs £25 is just no contest. Shame I cannot get some enterprising Asian factory to make the battery pack for my Rollei 6008.
